Early on, the Kiehl family started producing hammered files of all kinds made of pure steel. A major breakthrough was then the introduction of sapphire and diamond nail files. With these, a filing layer is applied to a steel base. This type of file was much more comfortable to use and led to a strong growth of the company in the first half of the 20th century. To this day, ablative filing coatings with diamond and sapphire stones are a core area of our production. We have extensive knowledge not only of nail files but also of diamond abrasives, foot files, industrial abrasive coatings and anti-slip surfaces.
Today Kiehl is a leading producer of duraboard nailfiles with cushion. We offer a high, professional quality of buffer-nailfiles to our customers, which is fulfilling the demands of experienced technicians. Our files are washable and provide a lot of strength for quick and precise work. The provide a long lifetime and abrasivity due to high-quality foils.

Kiehl is the leading producer of stainless-steel diamond files. This is one of our particular qualifications. We offer a unique range of professional files for nails and feet. Our nailfiles are outstanding in their quality. The combination of stainless steel with real Diamonds as abrasive is technically very demanding and allows a maximum lifetime and performance. They are fully suitable for sterilization – even in the autoclave – for many years.
